Samira Mathias
Samira Mathias received her Bachelor of Civil Law at the University of Oxford (class of 2021) with a focus on international law and armed conflict, constitutional theory, jurisprudence and human rights. She graduated from Gujarat National Law University in 2020.
She was part of the 2018 winning team of the Red Cross IHL Moot, and is an alumna of both the Jessup Moot Court Competition (2020) and the Oxford Price Media Moot Court Competition (2021) which strongly piqued her interest in freedom of expression issues. Her areas of interest include transitional justice and public international law, which she had the chance to work on during internships at the United Nations International Law Commission (Switzerland) and the South Asian Centre for Legal Studies (Sri Lanka).
