Marietta Cauchi

Marietta Cauchi spent fifteen years as a commercial and media lawyer in London where she represented media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Economist and online-based publications and advised on international and complex litigation and all areas of media law. Subsequently Ms Cauchi worked for twelve years as a journalist for Dow Jones Newswires/Wall Street Journal covering financial services, investigative and regulatory matters and defence. Ms. Cauchi works with the International Senior Lawyers Project advising, training and writing for NGOs, journalists, other media officials and staff on human rights, defamation, privacy, data protection, freedom of information and related rights globally. Ms. Cauchi has also written authoritative legal articles for a number of reference books, trade magazines and online platforms, specifically on defamation and media law, intellectual property rights and litigation.
