Joshita M Pai graduated in 2015 with BA LLB Hons. from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur and has a diploma in media law and internet policy. She is currently a Fellow at the Centre for Communication Governance at National Law University, Delhi and is a part of the civil liberties team. Intermediary liability, data protection, paid news and opinion polls are few of the areas she has worked on in the past.

At the Centre for Communication Governance, she works on privacy. As a Privacy Fellow, she has engaged with many domestic policy issues such as the Unique Identification Authority of India and the Aadhar Scheme, The DNA Profiling Bill 2015 and The National Draft Encryption Policy 2015. She intends to work on the intersection between privacy and freedom of expression in the near future.
