Jennifer Veloz

Jennifer Veloz is a Dominican lawyer, member of the Dominican Bar Association since 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with summa cum laude honors and a Masters in International Relations (MA) with merits from Middlesex University in London, England. Jennifer Veloz is an alumna of both the Iberoamerican human rights moot court competition “Francisco Suárez, S.J.” celebrated in Bogota, Colombia (2013) and the Inter-American Human Rights Moot Court Competition from American University in Washington, D.C. (2015). She practiced law at different firms, including “Estrella & Tupete” and “JM Cabral & Baez,” specializing in international human rights law, business, and litigation. She worked for the Committee on Enforced Disappearances (CED) and the Petitions Unit at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (UN Human Rights) in Geneva, Switzerland. She worked as a legal researcher for Columbia Global Freedom of Expression and currently lives in Toronto, Canada.
