Deniz Yıldız is a human rights lawyer and researcher based in Istanbul. She graduated from Istanbul University Law School, then continued her post-graduate education at Koç University and University of Essex.

She has worked for Amnesty International Turkey as Trial Observation Programme Coordinator from 2015 to 2018, where she monitored and reported cases concerning media freedom as well as right to protest.

Her main area of focus is free speech of political opposition and free speech of minorities.
