Can Yeginsu is a barrister practising from 4 New Square Chambers in London, specialising in public law and human rights, commercial litigation and arbitration, and public international law.

Mr. Yeginsu has acted as counsel in numerous human rights challenges involving the right to freedom of expression before the UK Supreme Court, the English Court of Appeal, the English High Court, the European Court of Human Rights, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the Supreme Court of the Gambia, and the Court of Justice of the Economic Community of West African States. He is consistently ranked as a leading barrister in Chambers GlobalChamber and Partners, and Legal 500.

Mr. Yeginsu is Lecturer-in-Law at Columbia Law School where he co-teaches a course on the right to freedom of expression; he holds the position of Adjunct Professor in Law at Georgetown Law, Washington D.C. and Visiting Professor of Law at Koç University Law School, Istanbul where he teaches international investment law and arbitration.
