Atmaja Tripathy

Atmaja is an advocate enrolled with Bar Council of India. Her practice is focused on technology, media and telecom laws, intellectual property laws, competition law and other corporate and civil laws.

Atmaja graduated with BBA.LL. B from Symbiosis Law School, Pune in 2018. During law school, she pursued diploma degrees in media law and competition law. At law school, she has won multiple scholarships for academic excellence in subjects such as constitutional law, evidence law and was awarded the Director’s Award for Best Outgoing Girl Student in the graduating batch. Her interests in technology, media, and telecommunication laws, and constitutional law have led her to pursue prestigious moots and essay competitions, like the Oxford Monroe E Price Media Moot Court Competition, 2015. Atmaja has authored articles on contemporary legal issues in reputed journals including the European Competition Law Review, Kluwer Business Law Journal, and BRICS Law Journal. She frequently writes on cutting-edge technology and the intersection/ overlap with free speech, intellectual property rights, and competitive markets. Her interest in academia has led her to deliver lectures on intermediary liability at leading Indian law schools including National Law University, New Delhi, Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai and National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. In February 2022, Atmaja was recognized as one of the youngest Future Legal Leaders by the India Business Law Journal.
