Akshita Tiwary
Akshita Tiwary is an undergraduate student at Government Law College, Mumbai, India. She is interested in public international law, international relations and human rights, and hopes to pursue these subjects as part of her higher studies. An enthusiastic public speaker, Akshita has judged and won awards at several Model United Nations conferences. As the Secretary of the Moot Court Association, she has been an active participant in Moot Court Competitions, most notably the Oxford Price Media Law Moot Court Competition, 2019.
Currently, Akshita serves as the Managing Editor for the Commentary section of JURIST, an online legal news and commentary website run by the University of Pittsburgh, USA. She has many renowned publications to her name, including those on forums like the University of Pennsylvania’s the Roundtable, the Berkeley Journal of International Law and the Fletcher Forum of World Affairs. A dedicated student, Akshita’s future aspiration is to work at the United Nations to further the cause of global peace and human rights.
