Simona Veleva is a lawyer and a PhD in the field of constitutional law. The focus of her work is constitutional law, the right to freedom of expression, human rights in the digital sphere, copyright, media law and ethics, and data protection. Simona is a member of the Council for Electronic Media, the Bulgarian media regulator. She is an expert with the Digital Freedom Fund and the Centre for Freedom and Media. Simona teaches Media Law and Ethics, Human Rights in the Digital Sphere, s at the American University in Bulgaria. She participates in numerous working groups related to the transposition of EU legislation in the field of media and media regulation in Bulgaria.
