Shayan Davoudi

Shayan Davoudi is a legal researcher for the Global Freedom of Expression and Information at Columbia University.  He is also a Dean’s Fellow at the United Nations Committee Against Torture Project within American University Washington College of Law. During his legal studies in the U.S. with emphasis on international human rights law, Shayan worked with various academic institutions, governments, and civil society organizations, including the Organization for Refuge, Asylum & Migration, International Weapons Control Center of DePaul University College of Law, Ghana’s Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Human Rights Advocacy Centre, Heartland Alliance International, and Child Rights and Protection Consultancy-International. He completed his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. Shayan is currently pursuing a joint Master of Laws degree in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at American University Washington College of Law.
