Sarthak Makkar is a third-year undergraduate student reading law at Gujarat National Law University, India. He has served as a delegate at the United Nations Commission for International Trade Law [UNCITRAL] Working Group V, Session 55 at the UN headquarters, New York City. He is the Tournament Director of an online negotiation competition- ODR Bowl which aims to help students in honing their ODR skills. He serves as a member of the International Research Press Review Board of Omniscriptum Publications, Germany. He has recently edited a book with Assistant Professor Mr. Hitesh Thakkar on NPA Laws in India which is about to be published by Himalaya Publishing House, New Delhi. He also serves as an editor of the King’s Student Law Review Forum and Commercial & Financial Law Blog.  He is ardently interested in Human Rights law especially focusing on Women Rights Jurisprudence, recently completing a research article on how the concept of Marital Rape in India is arbitrary, unjust, inhumane and contrary to constitutional values which has been published by Harvard Human Rights Journal. Also, he is interested in International Arbitration and has recently mentored and coached a team for 27th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
