Marco A. Sabino
Dr. Marco A. Sabino is a researcher who provides legal analysis of Freedom of Expression in Brazil and South America. He is a former partner of Mannrich and Vaconcelos Lawfirm where he was Head of Media and Internet Area. He worked as an executive for Globo TV, one of the America’s biggest broadcasters, in the advertising area. He holds a Ph.D. in Litigation from the University of São Paulo, School of Law. His dissertation – a study of the judicial intervention on public health – was awarded as the best dissertation of 2015 by the University São Paulo. He holds a Post-Doctorate in Democracy and Human Rights at University of Coimbra, Portugal, and his dissertation was a study on the spectrum of freedom of expression on commercial advertising. He was Academic Visitor at the Centre For Social-Legal Studies of Oxford University, United Kingdom, and studied the right to be forgotten. He is a lawyer with 18 years experience, professor of Ethics, Law, Corporate Governance and Media and Internet. He was member of the Board of Brazilian Self-Regulatory Advertising Council. He is researcher of ILD, Digital Freedom Institute. Additionally, he has earned post-graduate certificates in Civil Procedure and Litigation (Catholic Law School, São Paulo), Civil and Commercial Law (Autonomous Law School of São Paulo) and Teaching (University Anhembi-Morumbi).
