Lama is a Lebanese-American lawyer, member of the Beirut Bar Association. She is a Junior Associate in a law firm in Beirut, Lebanon, where her practice focuses on civil, criminal and corporate matters.

She was appointed in 2021 to assist the Accusation Bureau of the BBA in the case of the Beirut Port Explosion of August 4, 2020. The Bureau’s utmost determination is to ensure Human Rights for the victims of the explosion on a national and international level.

In 2018, Lama took part in the Inter-University program on International Criminal law and procedure with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, which has broadened her horizon in this particular field. She has since focused her research on International Criminal Law and Human Rights. Her most recent research concerns the abolishment of impunity in International Law.
