Jose Brujan
José Miguel Bruján Gómez is a lawyer specialized in international law, European law, alternative dispute resolution, and contract negotiation. He holds a Bachelor of Laws, summa cum laude, from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in the Dominican Republic, as well as a Master’s degree in French and European Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public International Law (specialized in Business & International Law) from the University of Paris-Panthéon-Assas.
Professionally, he has more than five years of experience across both law firms and public institutions in the Dominican Republic, France, and internationally. As Associate at Sánchez y Salgena and later at Guzmán Ariza, he litigated labor, civil, and commercial cases with a high success rate, developed preventive strategies, and provided legal solutions to companies and individuals. He then served as In-House Counsel at the National Institute for the Development and Regulation of Cooperative Credit, where he managed a conciliation service achieving a 90% success rate and led a major case involving potential losses of €29 million.
Internationally, since 2024 he has collaborated as a Legal Researcher at Columbia University’s Global Freedom of Expression initiative, analyzing and drafting briefs on French and European court decisions. Currently, he is completing an internship at Novakov Avocat in Paris, where he works on banking and finance law, commercial and corporate law, as well as private international law, drafting procedural documents and managing cross-border cases.
He is a member of the Dominican Bar Association. Fluent in Spanish, English, and French, he combines his international background with strong expertise in both litigation and advisory work, aiming to build a career at the intersection of corporate and international law
