Hussien El Nagar

Hussien El Nagar is an Egyptian dual LL.B. graduate from the British University in Egypt(BUE) and London South Bank University (LSBU), where he ranked among the top of his class with a GPA of 4.0. He is currently a trainee at Al Tamimi & Company’s Cairo office in theDigital and Data Department, where he advises clients on matters relating to technology, privacy, and data protection. He is also pursuing a master’s in Cybercrime Investigations at the same academic institutions, to deepen his expertise in technology and digital rights.

Alongside his academic excellence, Hussien has joined more than five internships at leading law firms; in addition, he has been deeply engaged in extracurricular activities. He has competed in international moot courts, including the FDI Moot and the Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot, where he reached the finals of the MENA regional rounds and was recognized as Runner-Up Best Oralist. He also participated in the IT Law Moot Court for four consecutive years, serving twice as a participant and twice as a coach. Further, Hussien was awarded a fully funded scholarship to represent his university in a summer training program, “AI and Information Wars”in Jordan. He also published a policy paper on cybersecurity and biometric data, which was recognized as the Second-Best Paper in Egypt.

His leadership experience includes serving as University Ambassador, President of the BUE Debate Society, and Professional Development Director of the BUE Rotaract Club. Hussienaspires to build a career at the intersection of law and technology with a focus on digital rights and freedom of expression.
