Gladys Gerbaud

Gladys Gerbaud is the Program Assistant of Columbia Global Freedom of Expression. She graduated from Columbia in May 2022, with a double major in Political Science and History, and wrote a senior thesis titled “Panama’s Decisive Decade: The Consolidation of Democracy in the 1990s.” Gladys was previously an intern at The Inter-American Dialogue, as well as in Panama’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Panama’s Ministry of Government. As an undergrad, she was a member of the first Global Columbia Collaboratory cohort and an Advising Fellow for Matriculate, guiding high-achieving, low-income high school students through their college application process.
