Estefanía Mullally

Estefanía is an Argentine lawyer, specializing in International Public Law at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She coordinated the Human Rights Center of the Law School – UBA for three years. At the same institution, she worked as a professor of practical work on human rights and guarantees for five years.

She also worked at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the City of Buenos Aires for six years, systematising jurisprudence on strategic litigation in Latin America, designing and monitoring public policies with a gender perspective in the administration of justice, and training judicial officials on gender and diversity issues.

Estefanía is a specialist in Public Policy and Gender Justice (Latin American Council of Social Sciences), and in Gender and Law (UBA). She has completed several diploma courses in: Supranational Protection of Human Rights (Università degli Studi di Perugia); Theory and Practice of Regional Integration (University of Alcalá); Equality and Non-Discrimination (UBA); and Migrants and Refugee Protection (UBA).

She is currently the academic coordinator of the Diploma in “Right to freedom of expression” co-organised by the Human Rights Center (Law School, UBA), the Regional Office for South America of the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights (IIDH) and the Center for Studies on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information (CELE) of the University of Palermo. She also co-coordinates the “Semillero Latinoamericano de Derechos Humanos”, a program developed by the Inter-American Court together with the Rule of Law Programme in Latin America – KAS Foundation and the Human Rights Center (Law School, UBA).
