Aleksandar Stevanović

Aleksandar Stevanović LL.M is a lawyer (attorney at law) and Research Associate at the Institute of Criminological and Sociological Research in Belgrade, Serbia, currently participating in the various projects related to anti-corruption mechanisms in the country and abroad. He has obtained LL.M. from the University of Belgrade where he is a Ph.D. candidate. He has attended Comparative Law study program at the University of Salzburg, Austria and has conducted study visit to Italian anti-corruption institutions as a member of OSCE mission in Serbia delegation. During his professional career he has published more than 30 scientific papers in the country and abroad, and co-edited several scientific monographs and has been dealing with a number of different private law and criminal law cases related to freedom of expression, defamation, slander, whistleblowing, SLAPP etc. His research focuses on whistleblowing and legal aspects of investigative journalism as a tools for combating corruption, freedom of expression within employment relationship, discrimination, legal aspects of political speech and lobbyng, and ECHR jurisprudence related to freedom of expression. Aleksandar is an alumni of the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition (2017, Oxford).
