Peter Bessada is researcher who contributed to our work by providing research and legal analysis of Freedom of Expression cases in the Middle East.  Peter’s regional and legal expertise have been an asset to this project. Peter is an American immigration attorney from an Egyptian background. He lived in several Middle Eastern countries and practiced law in Iraq.  Peter formerly worked for Human Rights Watch, where he has provided legal analysis and closely followed and reported on human rights affairs in Libya, Egypt and several other Middle Eastern countries.”
