Mariam Moussa

Mariam Moussa is a fourth-year undergraduate law student at the British University in Egypt (BUE), where she has consistently achieved academic distinction across her preparatory, second, and third years. She is particularly interested in human rights law, with a focus on freedom of expression and AI.

Alongside her academic achievements, Mariam has recently joined an internship at a top-tier law firm: Adsero -Ragy Soliman & Partners. She also gained practical experience through international moot court competitions, including the 2024–2025 Monroe E. Price Media Law Moot Court, where she was recognized as Runner-Up Best Oralist in the MENA regional rounds, and the BUE IT Law Moot Court, where she won the Best Oralist award. She has also participated in Columbia Global Freedom of Expression’s Online Seminar on Freedom of Expression in the Digital Realm, enhancing her legal writing and research skills.

Her extracurricular involvement includes active participation in the BUE Legal Clinic and leadership roles as Vice Head of the Scientific Committee and General Coordinator of the Faculty of Law Student Union. Mariam aspires to pursue a career in human rights law, contributing to advancing freedom of expression and digital rights.
